Frozen Freehubs Fatbike Fest - February 24th

*****Due to the trail conditions and the weather forecast this event is being postponed. The trails are too soft and we cannot condone doing damage unnecessarily.

Refunds will be available or the funds can be held for the postponed date which will be in April.

We will be doing a ride on the rails to trails followed by axe throwing this Saturday for those interested. If you have registered and want to come for the ride Saturday I will buy the first round.

I apologize and appreciate your understanding.*****

There will be approximately 30 km of riding with stops at Kings Arms Pub, Paddy’s Pub and Hali Mac Axe Throwing (yes, there is an option for axe throwing!).

We are limiting the registration to 20 riders this year. The registration will be available online at www.raceroster.com at 6pm on Tuesday, February 13th.

Registration fees for the event is $40.00 and includes:

Guided tour of Kentville Trails, One free beer at the participating pubs/establishments, Buffet at Kings’ Arms Pub post ride, and entry for draw prizes donated by local businesses.

Axe Throwing:

Hali Mac is offering Axe throwing at a significant discount. For $15.00 you get one hour of axe throwing plus one beer!

Please sign the appropriate waiver to ensure we can get you throwing axes as soon as possible once we arrive.

No fat bike, no problem! Valley Stove and Cycle (902)-542-7280) and Banks Bikes (902)-542-2596 are happy to help out with rentals/demos.

@IanM_MTB Does that mean you’re going?

From the looks of the forecast it is probable that a fat bike will not be necessary. There isn’t much snow in the woods at this point.

There are plenty of trails to ride that are not affected by the weather, so unless we get a monsoon, this event is happening!

I seriously doubt that fat bikes will be necessary.

Still spots open, registration is still open!

From the weather forecast we won’t be needing fat Bikes. Come on out! The trails should be fine!

That’s too bad, was looking forward to getting down for a ride. Luckily, weather and ground looks good for an after work ride today. I’ll be sick at about 1pm.

Shitty. It’s the right call though.
