With more manufacturers selling directly to consumers, the options of assembling a bike yourself does become an option. However, I do know and acknowledge that the mechanic at your LBS should be consulted if you are not confident in your abilities . . . or even if you want someone to do a once over when assembled. Is it much different than assembling any mountain bike? Any specific tools or tricks that are different?
Hmmm . . . not really . . . its just fatter. 
However, a low pressure tire gauge is needed. Some people do the “squeeze test” but I’d rather know the actual psi to that I can adjust per conditions.
