Innovative idea for sure, $100 is cheaper than a 1x11 setup. I think I’ll be sticking with my current 2x7, which can be almost totally replaced for that much.
I’d be concerned about breaking freehub bodies with such a large sprocket. I broke one this summer and I think the replacement is already on its way out. 42 teeth versus 36 teeth means a lot more force on the freehub.
