Hey Gang,
Thinking about signing my 11 yr old up for some mountain bike races this summer, any advice on ones that would be a good introduction? He’s a veteran of the Cyclesmith shorttrack races.
Maybe Victoria Secret? I remember previous keppoch and Fitzpatrick being a lot of climbing right at the beginning which might be a bit discouraging for his first race.
Victoria’s Secret would be an excellent choice. Not only is it nearby and feature grom friendly trails, it is also probably the most well attended event on the calendar, so a positive environment to introduce the younger racer to the community.

The climbing at Victora’s Secret has been muted in the last couple years too since the race does not start down in the park. Great race to start somebody on! What’s a Grom?

Grom = a young shredder in surfing/skiing/ biking. The next generation getting at it!
