Jump builder on Shubie AT trail

To whoever started building the jump on the Shubie AT trail along Lake Charles by the inukshuk, I am the one who filled in the take off and landing with stones. Don’t be a fool and build stuff right on that trail.

If you want to do some building I’ll show you some much more discrete and better spots to build that won’t freak out the squares.

I wonder what the chances are of them seeing this is.

Stick an ECMTB sticker on one of the rocks that’s blocking the jump.

Lol… please don’t use the site logo to piss people off.

@tossedsalad yeah I don’t know if they are on here or not, there are lots of lurkers and maybe one of them knows the person. Worth a shot so they can understand why their “work” keeps getting torn down.

If anything it provides some info to others who may have had an inclination to do the same thing elsewhere.

I did think of leaving a note but I don’t normally carry pen and paper on my rides.

@JeffV I would look at it more like getting them to check out site, (instead of using the site to piss them off), at least then there can potentially be a discussion. That’s the whole point here, to bring mtb riders to the same spot for fun, information and discussion.

I think Jeff’s point was that he wouldn’t want this rogue jumped branded as an ECMTB built jump on a main trail. I can see the general public thinking ECMTB is a bunch of crazy mountain bikers bent on messing up trails and putting jumps and stunts where they don’t belong.

Oh yeah I’d never “brand” it, I’m much more sneaky than that. I’d put it under one of the rocks so when they went to put their jump back they would find it.

Bumping this back up because I wrecked your jumps again and will continue to do so. Jumps and hits that take off and land on the AT trail along Lake Charles is just the wrong thing to do in the wrong place.

the bump in the embankment has been there since before the extension. probably one of the twins, one of them has been ripping around on a yeti dh9. can you find all of his gaps on the extension trail?

For sure there are some hits there that have been there a long time. The ones that are more discreet I don’t mind, I hit some of them sometimes. I was wondering you might have an idea of who it was @void.

unless it’s one of the twins, not sure who it could be, the other usual suspects have been building elsewhere…
