Hey All- Looking to upgrade the terrible Suntour fork (and potentially shock) on my 14 Trace-4, 27.5". It is a tapered steerer, 1 1/2-1 1/8. Looking to see what is out there. Thanks in advance!
Do your self a favour and look for a regular 1.5 to1 1/8th taper and just swap stems and you upper headset bearing. You will have vastly more choices.

For the 1.25" you have a ZS 44/31.8 top headset cup/bearing… to convert to a 1.125" will need a ZS 44/28.6 top headset cup/bearing. The bottom cup stays the same.
Trying to find dumb Overdrive2 1.25" forks really limits what you can put on.

Agreed. I did the same when I swapped a Pike on my '14 Trance. Way more options for forks
