MRWA Trail Work - West Pine

From the MRWA Trail Committee…

Hello MRWA Volunteers!

We are making great progress on West Pine, a back-country singletrack trail that is part of the connector between Herring Cove and Spryfield. We have started cutting the dense brush on the other side of Porcupine Creek and we need help clearing it away from the trail corridor. There is also some lumber to carry, rocks to move, holes to fill, and a stump to winch. Sounds like fun, eh?

Meet at the small park on Norawarren Drive near Herring Cove (map). We’ll hike about 25 minutes in from the trailhead. You don’t need to attend the entire session! If you arrive late, take In-N-Out to West Pine and follow it until you find us. You can shortcut down the Notch.

Bring water, work gloves, sturdy footwear, and clothes appropriate for the weather, bugs and for getting dirty. We have deer fly patches to distribute, so bring a hat!

Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary.

Thanks and see you out there.
