Night Ride!

We be hitting up the trails again tomorrow evening!

I have plenty of spare lights for anyone who is without. The forecast is calling for some snow but it’s way too early to believe the forecast.

I’ve missed the last two weeks so I’m going to be there eager to hit the trails!!

We’ll meet at Sportwheels at 6:45 as per usual, head out, ride some sweet winter trails and then for some grub!!

Snow is good because it is grippy! Be there…

Great ride!!

We had 9 people out enjoying the trails. I know there are some pics proving that we did go riding as well!

I really enjoy these weekly rides. They are for everyone who rides a bike, regardless of skill, or what kind of bike you ride. We welcome anyone to come out and join us next week!

Yes, last night was quite the bike ride! We even had some ‘older fella’ on a cruiser with studded tires, a chain guard AND a kick stand! What a great group as usual. Two of us were running studless and still had a blast. Ran some single track and double track, along with playing on some urban stuff along the way. These rides are a fun way to spend the winter until we can get the folks out for more mountain biking in the spring. Everyone is invited and welcome and if you don’t have a light and would like to tag along, drop a line here and we’ll get you hooked up if we can!

The ‘older fella’ won’t be riding the cruiser this week but he’ll be riding!!!

Meet at Sportwheels and we’ll jet from there to the trailhead. 6:45 seems like a great time to meet.

Remember to let me know if you need a light for the night.

I am going to try hard to make it. Work is pretty crazy the last couple of days. I am lugging a few thousand pounds of gear up stairs all day before I put a bunch of equipment together, so I am sporting a jersey and taking a dry shirt. But I am going to try make it out. I may have to play catch up!

Amazing turnout tonight, 10-11 if I’m not mistaken. Great ride as well.

We rode for about 2 hours tonight on the first/second lake trails. The trails were in decent shape with some sloppy areas of soft snow but it was all good for the most part.

It was a great ride. And it was definitely awesome to see so many familiar faces.

It did get a little sloppy towards the end, but it was still fun!

I am going to check out a few alternatives to our regular haunt as of late. All this rain might have opened up some sweet doubletrack up here. I will be investigating later today to see how it looks. If they are still plugged up with deep snow in too many stretches, we might even head to Shubie for a change!

1st Tuesday Evening ride in March!

We are going to do something a bit different this week. With the formentioned wet conditions and less than optimal riding conditions I say we give the trails a week off and try something new.

If you’ll be attending drop me a line so I can inform the facility how many bikes to get prepped!

Nice and sunny, with snow free trails and an extra hour before dark means it’s ride time!!

Meet at the shop (Sportwheels) and we’ll head out from there about 6:45-7:00.

We had a great ride tonight again! I am planning a few day trips this summer as well as the regular Tuesday night rides, so come on out and stay in the loop. We still ride with lights for now, but the first little while was run in natural daylight. Great times were had by all! Tell your friends.

Exciting news!!! I have stumbled across a nice network of trails that come right off of the trails in Macdonald Sports Park! There is double track, single track and some smooth crusher dust that is tight, flowy and fast! The scenery is awesome, and there are ATV trails off of those that goes who knows where. We shall have some fun on Tuesday night for sure! Start charging those lights.

That’s exciting, aaron, new trails are ALWAYS good!

Sounds like a destination for Tuesday evening!!!

Just a reminder that we are leaving Tuesday evening from Sportwheels at 6:45 -7pm to hit the trails.

The weather may play a factor but if anything changes it will be posted!!

Sorry to say that I’m going to cancel the ride for tonight. Aaron and myself agree that the trails will be a bit moist.

Let’s call it a ‘anticipation for next week’ night!
