Nine Mile River Trail Association Meeting

Monthly meeting of the Nine Mile River Trail Association this Monday night. Lots of great stuff has been happening to the trail. Lots more in the works. How much we can do is a question of people and money.

  • Trailflow redid the front loop for us. One boardwalk still needs to be rebuilt. We didn’t budget for this one (change in plans). Will need to raise the money to rebuild and may need volunteer support to do it.

  • Hemlock Loop rebuild and repair is on tap for this fall. We need to transport about 5000 lbs of wood in there to do it. May do some of it by helicopter, but we may need more fundraising for that. We also will need volunteer support to move the rest and get it to the boardwalks where it’s needed.

  • Have made drainage/mud improvements at Bog Corner, Mini-Mud Alley, and various places along the trail. Still lots of mud and drainage issues to deal with at various points.

  • Will need to clear the Comeau Road doubletrack of deadfall for winter use.

  • Hoping next year to begin developing new trail!

We would love to have more volunteers, especially mountain bikers and trail builders, so if you want to see this trail improve and more trail built, come on out!
