Overnight getaway

Looking for advice from all of you.

My wife likes to ride rails to trails type trails and I thought on the long weekend we’d head out of town for an overnighter somewhere. Ideally we’d like something like White Point, Digby Pines etc. On property trails aren’t important as long as there is something suitable near by. When not riding we want to pool hang, sip beverages and just generally spoil ourselves a bit.

We would like to stay within a couple of hours of Halifax if possible. Any ideas or experiences?

This isn’t a mountain bike trip per se, but an activity that we would like to include. See all the fun you can have when your kids are all in their 20’s?

The rails to trails has been completed between kentville and wolfville lately. Some nice scenery and some great places to eat and drink. There is a new apple cider place in wolfville, and some nice BnBs to stay at. The rails to trail also continues to Greenwood from Kentville.

Some good pubs in the area and a farmers market on Saturday morning in Wolfville. You can also ride to evangeline beach (If you know the way) over the dykes where there is an ice cream place. Bring cash though as they don’t accept debit.

So much to do in the Valley on a weekend

Bike shops, too

@muddy the Bay to Bay Trail (Mahone Bay to Lunenburg) is another great option. Lots of great places to stay/eat/drink on both ends of the trail.

Or a little further away (and less touristy), the Celtic Shores Rail Trail that runs through Mabou Cape Breton is really nice. Had a chance to check it out last summer during Across the Highlands and will definitely be going back. @yanner could probably even hook you up with some single track in the area.

Riderx can you recommend any good places to stay in the area?

Booked the Tattingstone for one night, Sunday July 3rd

Looking forward to it.
