Smart suspension?

Single track world article where they speculate on the new Rocky Mountain Altitude and the possibility that it will have electric controlled suspension and dropper. Interesting possibilities, if it is ever affordable.

Trek is using this tech in their xc races this year. Pretty slick rig.

Ugh just use a cable attached to a lever, it works just fine, lasts a long time,is cheap and easy to fix.

I wonder if someone can use it to make an inferior suspension design perform better.

Companies license patents on suspension designs and some even have exclusivity agreements for the patents.

If the value in the design is the progressive curve or elimination pedal bob then perhaps a smart shock could change air spring performance as well by valving different chambers or what not.

basically the same as Specialized Brain tech just electronics decide how and when to engage instead of a mechanical system
