Suspension in winter

I’m about to pull the fork on my hardtail apart to put a longer spring in it.

While it’s in pieces is there anything I can do to improve performance through the colder months? It’s a 2019 RS Sektor so pretty cheap and cheerful anyway.

I don’t do anything specific for winter with the internals, but if you have it opened a good clean and fresh oil is always a good idea.

With air forks I tend to run a bit more pressure 10 to 15 PSI at room temperature, because the volume will drop at lower temps.
