Changing tires has got to be one of the most frustrating tasks for bike maintenance.
I thought I was pretty good and changing tires and tubes, but recently couldn’t get a tire to break free from the rim in order to change the tube.
I found a trick that I didn’t know about to do this - no tools required and works on trail too - pretty simple really - lay the wheel down, step on the tire (not the rim), and lift the rim away from the tire while standing on the tire:
