Planning a work day for this Sunday afternoon at 1PM.
We could use a volunteer who can operate a chainsaw. We would like to take down a fallen “leaner” tree hung up over the trail on the Pitcher Plant Loop. As a safety hazard, this is a priority to get removed.
If we can get a chainsaw operator for Sunday, we could also start working on taking down a couple of dead trees, and cutting and splitting logs for log benches at the Big Hill.
If we don’t have a chainsaw on Sunday, we’ll focus on drainage improvements on the Big Hill.
We have tools. The Pitcher Plant work site is about a 10-minute walk in, and the Big Hill work site is about a 15-minute walk in.
