Work evening Wednesday, work day Saturday at Nine Mile River Trails

Work evening tomorrow night (Wed. Sept. 1) at 6:30pm - We’re planning to clear some branches and brush away from the areas around “Bog Corner” and boardwalk C21 to widen the trail corridor and open sightlines around the corners and lesson the risk of collisions between trail users. Extra loppers and hands for clearing brush would be helpful! Sight line clearing is often low on the priority list, but trail systems can sometimes be closed to mountain bikes due to collisions or fear of collisions with hikers.

Work day on Saturday Sept. 4 at 9:30am - We’re planning to install the next log bench, but depending on what tropical storm Ida leaves us, we may switch to drainage work or deadfall clearing.

We’ll be riding mountain bikes in, but feel free to walk in and meet us on trail!

Thanks so much to @Rolls for helping to clear sight lines - the view around corners is much better!

We got the new log bench installed today. It’s under a few trees just past the rock bridge. A nice spot to take a rest in the shade or let a rain or snow shower pass.
