I don’t know how it would survive on an MTB but as a road concept it could be wicked if it wasn’t bulky or heavy. But seems irrelevant in the generation of hydro/electric derailleurs.
Looks like you could make a multi-speed fixie(?) with that setup if you wanted to. Interesting.
