I ran into this in Shubie Park last night.
.
It is a 125 pound beast that is electric assist. It sports two batteries and can get 50km before recharging. It has 5 gears up front and 7 in the back. The front suspension is supplied by a rock shock rear shock. He bought a kit on-line from China and assembled it himself. It certainly is a unique ride

I spend 2/3 of my time there on singletrack in the woods so I can be hard to find if you don’t know where these trails are
