2023 Pic/Vid From Every Ride

After getting demolished by a snapped pedal at poley, being laid up, having a newborn and realizing I haven’t been on a bike in weeks I decided to bite the bullet and get into gravel.

Another Marin Bike, because they are made for fun!

Did a 200km ride today on my 170/170 free ride bike. Well 199.98km but did a victory lap to get the .2km :joy: would not reccomend. The rails to trails is a absolute disaster right now. Would also not recommend.

Thats out by east river under highway 103. There must be a solid 2km of complete washout in just that one section. Lost count of all the washouts and had to ride the road from east river to chester because the rails to trails were not possible to ride.

All the sections are taped off and ill admit i maaaay have ducked under the tape but i had no clue it was going to be that bad.

It was a wild ride for sure.

Not to be that guy, but riding the closed sections of the SMB, Aspotogan, Chester Connector, Dynamite, and Adventure gives cyclists a bad name with ATV dominated trail associations that already don’t like sharing the trails with us.

Yeah i get it. Probably shouldn’t have but i did. My bad. Wont do it again.

I took a ride through one of my usual gravel spots. It was hit pretty hard in the wildfire.

Second flat in 3 years. Pretty good odds. Rimmed out on the flat lake decent. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::joy::rofl:

Rode the gravel rig first through Wrandees to the new walking trail and then from Clark Kent to Norawarren. A little hard on the forearms but otherwise not terrible.

@brightwhite what trails did you take through Wrandees? other than looking at trail forks I don’t know them very well, so I usually bike past hail pond then cross over at the rubber duck car wash-to get onto the long lake walking paths on my way to McRun. Would love to find a more fun route.
