Great read. Strangely enough I read this article after taking the Cat the other way to do a tour in Maine and NB (came back on Digby Ferry)! I will say that for North America the roads in Maine and NB weren’t bad – lots of paved shoulders, much better than NS on the secondary trunk roads and even though we had to get on a divided highway in NB (Highway 1) for about 15k there was a huge paved shoulder.
