The has been a bunch of snow shoe packing done at Spider Lake so I’d expect tomorrow might see some decent fat bike conditions with low pressures.

Irishman’s has had two rounds since the storm. Still kinda soft, might work for fat bikes after I do another lap tomorrow. Snowshoes needed right now.

I was through spider on snow shoes today. Ribbon of love starting to get packed, did a couple passes on humps and lego but still need more traffic.
Sunset strip looks like its getting some traffic but didnt go down that far. Poker run hasnt been touched.
Replicators perfect. Talked to a guy that said inner peace is pretty packed

Tried to snowshoe Bowater but its still to fluffy. Theres a snowmobile track up the Pipeline Climb, but its really soft. The road is plowed, but it’s only one lane and there is no place to pull off. Watch out for the stuck CRV and trailer on the road at the ATV lot.

Snowshoed west pine to pizza corner… nicer further in and away from the boot bombs but soft loose and will need lots of packing before it’s worth riding in there.

Showshoed Susie Q. I was the second set of snowshoes through. If a couple more made it, there would be a good loop including Da Minion and Flip Side which are both in decent shape (and saw a fat bike or two this evening as well).

Frog Pond trails are all hard packed snow, zero ice, skinny friendly. If you’re itching to ride.

I got the first set of tracks down on the usual 9k loop I do at Whooper. I tried getting in there with my fatty today but didn’t make the full loop. Boot bombers! So pulled out early, rode down the BLT on what looked like pickup tracks. Past a fat bike on the BLT and I think he gave it a go as well. He didn’t make it far.

I went back and did the 9k again tonight to give some areas a good stomp and filled in a bunch of post holes.

Like you said. A few extra set of snowshoe track out there is all it needs. Suzie Q side of the power line and the power line headed towards the blast zone.

Hopefully it gets a good set tonight.

Thanks! I don’t know all the acronyms!

Smiley’s Provincial Park: Groomed a big loop in there today. Looks mint, but needs a bit of set up time before riding, once it firms up will be a great ride.

Did a ride from Norrawarren to Orange Jelly and back this afternoon. I/O, west pine and granitude were all solid from the snow shoeing (thank you amazing people), Orange Jelly was passable, it was just walking tracks there though, but still lots of fun, and now there’s my fat bike tracks!

Irishman’s and Smiley’s both tidied up this morning. Snow is loose over hardback. Base is pretty firm in most areas. Should be good riding!

editL… Parking lot access was iffy this morning. Take a 4x4 if you’ve got one. Hopefully their all clear by now. Im going to ride at Smiley’s tonight so will report back parking conditions, If I get time I’ll check on Irishmans too when I go by.

Whooper is good for fatties, Flip Side actually has some soft section that can’t be ridden on skinnies (mostly the second half) It also has a few open mud holes. More fatty traffic on Flip side and it should be good to go.

The Suzie Q side is firmest and better for skinnies.

Studs a must.

Quads on the road this afternoon so it’s chewed up in sections.

Norawarren, west pine, granitude, orange jelly, and ducknrun as far as the lion king rock are all excellent. No crust or jank just flowy snow and ice.

A bit uneven near the Nora and OJ trailheads from frozen boot bombs but the further in you go the better it gets.

Fatties only or will it hold studs?
