I’m going to be camping at Seafoam on August 26th - 28th. and will likely try to get a ride in at Fitz saturday morning since it is near.
I thought I’d post it in case anyone is interested.
I’ll firm up the time as we get closer.

Thanks for the heads up. Ive been wanting to check out fitz for a while and that might also combine nicely with a Sunday afternoon of truck assisted dh in keppoch.
Will check into getting a vehicle for then and get back to you.

I’d like to try and check out some of the new trails or ride the enduro race loop if anyone felt like heading down.
So far its a go for me.
I’m free that day and really wanna ride those trails – I’ve run them and they’re amazing. If you guys end up there, mind a tag-along?

I’m planning on heading up but I probably won’t be there early enough to catch you for the morning. Planning on trying to sweat through the mid-day heat and do an afternoon ride. If you feel like doing an encore ride let me know. Otherwise we’ll have to compare notes on the trails we rode next tuesday post-ride beers. Happy trails.
Anyone know any good swimming holes near fitzpatrick to check out after riding?

I am in, we are likely up for the camping too…just trying to sort out the logistics with the boss (domestic). Do ya know what time-ish you are looking to go yet? May be able to round up another couple fellas to go for it.
The Northumberland Strait is fantastic for swimming on Pictou county shores. Checkout Caribou Provincial park. It’s only about 20minutes away from Fitz and has a great beach.

How about we meet at 10:30 for the morning ride.
Maybe we will intersect with the afternoon crew for those who are riding in the afternoon at some point.
@JoshM, I’m not sure if I have time or energy to do the 30k worth of Enduro track but we can explore a bit and feel free to at some of those to the end of your ride.
There is 30km of trail out there? Holy cow. Maybe I should be spending all weekend there! We’re going to be heading there for 2pm.

I’m really only interested in riding one of the newer trails up near the windmills. I still might tag along with you guys if I can get away.
Two categories of the enduro race are being held. Open men is a 30km course, and sport men is 18km.

What a spot. I was there all saturday and it was my favorite riding of the summer. Love the back line along ridge in the hardwoods. Weeeooo. Trail builders have set a new bar for singletrack quality in NS–they’ve done an absolutely incredible job.
