Anyone using flats these days? Any suggestions? Looking for something that ideally comes with an extra set of pins, decent bearings, and isn’t ridiculously priced. Secondary would be weight,thinness and rebuildable.

I’m using the Kona Wah Wahs and I love them.
Thin, light, sealed bearings, and under $100. They don’t come with extra pins, but I bash mine up pretty good and I haven’t damaged or lost any pins yet. They sell the pedals at Cyclesmith so I’m sure I could get some extra pins locally if I ever needed to.
Just as important I think is to have the right shoes. A good flat pedal is just wasted on a hiking or running shoe. You need something with a flat, grippy sole that the pins can really grab onto. I’ve had good luck with these Five Ten Freeriders.

Kona Wah Wah are my pedal of choice. Not crazy expensive- about $80 locally and come with a spare set of pins. Rebuild kits are also available.

@gtrguy spare pins eh? Maybe mine came with pins too and I lost them. Oh well.

@Rolls if you need any, let me know I think I’ve got a few bags of them from buying multiple sets of wah wahs for different bikes. Never needed to replace any yet but you never know!
I’m pretty sure each time I’ve bought them they came with spare pins and the clip on reflectors.

Picked up a set of the wah wahs, they work great! Grip for days and no pedal strikes(yet). They did come with a few spare pins.

I have been riding nukeproof electron evos this year…they are a nylon composite with sealed bearings and replicable pins…Looks similar to the Wah Wah. Super sticky and have held up to quite a few pedal strikes so far. Mind you I am not riding nearly as much granite as you guys likely are. 354g per pair too if you are a weight stickler.
