On the topic of suburban sprawl, this google earth time lapse from 1984 - 2016 is pretty interesting.

That’s scary, I do understand some outward building but it seems like so much already developed space in the city is being wasted, purely for the want of something new, or to keep developers in business.
Just as scary…zoom in on the forested areas of the province and see just how much land has been clear cut.
