I'm thinking of doing the Cabot Trail solo

Yeah, it’s been done before. But that’s why I’m posting this up.

I have the bike, working on getting the proper equipment, and quite sure I can handle some logistics. But I do have some questions for those who have done it before.

How long would you suggest taking?
Any suggestions on campsites along the way?
Any training or preparation you would suggest?

I’m sure I have more questions, just can’t think of them right now. I’d like to chat with someone who has done this before.

Much of the trail is provincial park with provincial camp grounds along it, and small communities. Perhaps make some friends with the CB community and see who will let you setup on their lawn too.

Go to crazyguyonabike.com and see who else has done it and read their blog.

I don’t have much to contribute insofar as riding the Cabot Trail, but I’m nearby in Mabou, FYI in case you run into mechanical trouble or something. There’s a small bike shop in Cheticamp that caters to tourers and organized group rides. Good luck!

You should see if you can borrow, rallykia’s beard for that trip. Lol.

Thanks! I’ll look you up on my way through hopefully. Maybe have an energy beer i mean drink.
