In the normal cycle of trail development, MRWA currently has several funding and land use proposals out to help get the Phase 2 rolling.
We can help by encouraging our politicians to support this as well. You can do this by reaching out to:
Brendan Maguire (MLA) and Andy Filmore (MP for Halifax), to convey the message that:
- these trails are important,
- thank them for past support,
- anything they can do to help grow the McIntosh Run network would be a huge asset to Halifax.
It is good to point out that these trails are important to families, people with different ability levels, hikers and bikers.
Also, it is good to point out that active living and, in general the outdoors, promotes physical and mental health and wellness.
