Light Up Bedford Parade - November 20th

Last years parade was cancelled due to weather, but the previous year we all went as a group and it was a blast. Decorate your bike with battery powered Christmas lights, glow sticks, tinsel, whatever you want…just need lots of zip ties!

Anyone interested in doing it this year? It was a ton of fun, and the kids really seem to enjoy it, both the few that joined us as well as all the kids watching the parade.

  • Going, see you there!
  • Wish I could, maybe next time.
  • Maybe, I’ll let you know.

@Jetter you beat me to it…ECMTB is registered to ride in the parade again this year. More info on the parade website, but here are the details:

When: Sunday November 20/16 (assemble by 5pm at the latest, parade starts at 5:45pm)
Where: Dewolf Park, Bedford

Everyone is welcome to join us…kids spouses, friends. All you need is a bike, a helmet and as many Christmas lights wrapped around your bike as you can safely ride with.

If you need lights, the Dollar Store is a great place to get inexpensive battery operated LEDs and glowsticks.

Awesome! Can’t wait!

Canadian Tire also has a pretty good selection of battery powered LED lights, although they definitely aren’t as cheap as the Dollar Store.

Added a poll above.

Get your lights and zip ties ready!

I’ll have at least two others with me.

Plus @Ian and Elizabeth are both in again too.

Bikes are just about fully lit. Hope we don’t get too much rain tomorrow.

Any pics from the parade?

@riderx some where posted in the pics from every ride thread.

By the looks of the smiling faces and awesome bikes, it looks like you had tons of fun. Sorry I missed it.
