Look Before You Sit

I went out for a ride last week on some local trails to check out a couple of new lines and clear a little brush. After a couple hours of riding and lopping I decided to sit down and partake in a little bit of the devil’s lettuce. Unfortunately I failed to exercise due diligence and adequately check the ground before I sat down. There must have been a Poison Ivy plant on the ground where I sat. The itching started on the way home and the rash shortly after. It’s been five days and the blister phase is over, but everything is still pretty raw. Sarsparilla and Poison Ivy can sometimes grow in close vicinity and they look very similar in the emerging stages. This isn’t as bad as when I managed to get Poison Ivy in my eye a couple of years ago though. Oh, So Different | Jomegat's Weblog
