Finally sourced an upper shock mount kit for my 2009 Trance X2. The old DU bushing and collars were toast and had quite a bit play. The new bushing and collars are all made of poly, and it was a quick 30 min job to change out without any specialized tools.

Original bushings from 2009? Gotta tear into my bottom bracket and hubs at some point once I get some more tools, I don’t have a cool buzzy hub but lots of squeaks and creaks from my bike, likely some lubrication and possibly bearing replacement needed.
I can only guess they were. I bought the bike used around 2013 or 2014, and it’s the first time I’ve changed them. I just did the bottom bracket earlier this year, not a bad job at all.
