MRWA 2024 AGM

McIntosh Run Watershed Association - AGM

Dear McIntosh Run Watershed Association Members and Friends,

You are cordially invited to attend the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the McIntosh Run Watershed Association (MRWA).

The meeting will be held on May 15 at 7:00 PM at the Captain William Spry Community Centre.

Everyone is welcome to attend - feel free to bring a friend along to learn more about MRWA and our plans for 2024-2025!

The MRWA, established in 1994, has been steadfast in its commitment to the conservation and stewardship of the McIntosh Run and its surrounding watershed. Our mission is to foster sustainable public access and community stewardship of this vital natural resource.

Over the past three decades, the MRWA has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at environmental stewardship, community engagement and a singletrack trail system. From partnering with local schools and universities to engaging youth in hands-on ecological projects, to implementing sustainable infrastructure projects for improved accessibility, our efforts have been wide-ranging and impactful.

Your presence and participation at the AGM are crucial as we reflect on our past achievements and chart the course for future endeavors. Join us as we celebrate our collective efforts and discuss the exciting opportunities ahead for the McIntosh Run Watershed.

We look forward to seeing you there. Light snacks will be provided. Please feel welcome to share this invitation with others.

Sincerely,
Liz Spence, MRWA Secretary

Where: Captain William Spry Center

Come to the AGM and find out what MRWA has been up to and what is planned. There are a lot of opportunities for people to help out and learn. Even a an hour here and there is a big contribution. Trail Supporter Tags and Stickers will be on sale!

Thanks for reposting this! MRWA has lots on the go and we can make more good stuff happen with more good people.

Want to learn more? Chat to some other volunteers? Learn what’s going on? Reach out to us. Or better yet, come tomorrow (that’s Wednesday the 15th).

You can join the board, or volunteer to help out however you want, share an opinion, pick up trail pass, or be a wallflower. If you’re curious about helping, we can add hands with communications, fundraising, events, trail maintenance, conservation, community relations. As Liz said, all are welcome. Hope to see you!
