New Trail off West Pine

Yesterday I rode down West Pine for the first time in a while and just before the you get to the big boulders to start the descent I saw there was a new trail being cut. It is under construction and it asked for people to stay off of it but you can see down the trail and it looks to be spectacular

I am on here multiple times a day and have never seen a mention of it. It looks like a machine built trail and very well built. I assume this is heading over Piggy Mountain way and might join onto Duck and Run

Any idea when it will be complete or open to riders? How was this kept such a secret? :slight_smile:

I’ve ridden past it a bunch times now, very curious to see where it’s going to go.

The trail is closed. Patience please. I HATE seeing ruts on a trail under construction.

Soon we hope. Waiting on a few things.

  1. Some trees have to come down for safety and trail integrity. Feel free to reach out if anyone is certified to do this chainsaw work and have suitable equipment.
  2. Installation of two more signposts with temporary signage. Anyone can volunteer your time and effort to help with this.
  3. official approval from the landowner (inspection has been completed and the official data submitted).

Please refrain from riding YIMBY before the landowner approves the trail.
