Hi Biking Friends,
The Nine Mile River Trail Association is planning to have a Mountain Bike Poker Run on the Nine Mile River trail some time in late September, early October. Rockhopper (Eric, NMRTA member and rider), Cyclinggirl (ME, NMRTA member and rider), Kevin MacLean (NMRTA member and rider) and Joanna McIntyre (NMRTA member, rider and chair of trail committee) are on the planning committee for this event. I know that Joanna and I have not participated in a poker run. Eric has participated in a few and I can’t speak for Kevin but I’m pretty sure none of us have planned an event like this. We are familiar with the concept but not sure where to begin. We are having our first meeting this Wednesday evening so if you have any experience planning a poker run, have participated in a poker run or have any thoughts or suggestions, please respond to this thread or chat us through FB Messenger. It would be great to have some information to share/discuss at our meeting. Thank you and happy riding!
