Popped the cherry

I had the maiden voyage on Storm Trooper yesterday. First time on big boy, 29 inch wheels, other than the road bike.
I am absolutely stoked. The machine is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Though I couldn’t find any rideable single track, I did find some steep climbs and smoking downhills.
The Satori handled each with ease. I may have built myself the ultimate mountain bike. I sure hope so, it’s gotta last ten more years or so, like the last one.

The ride was memorable, not just as it was the first. Anyone who has ever ridden with me, knows that I am always blowing snot rockets. Sometime during my ride I managed to burst a blood vessel in my nose and ended up with a gushing nose bleed.

In the end, the Storm Trooper looked like a stone cold killer covered in blood.
I love bikes!

Funny I was thinking of heading to Grunter last Thursday but stuck close to home because I thought it might be too wet still. I never noticed any excessive snot-rocketry, maybe I was just too far back.

were are the pictures of the blood drenched new bike! tell me you captured the imaige.
