Hey gang,
There’s a chance I might find myself in Regina for a couple of days this summer. Anyone have any info/experience on good places to ride? Places to rent an MTB? Any shop/group rides? Places for post-ride eats/beer?
Thanks!

Look up Wascana trails 15 k outside of Regina
Some YouTube videos will give you an idea of what they are like
Thanks, these trails seems to come up the most on my searches, have you ridden there?
No I haven’t been there.
Regina has a real nice paved trail system that connects many parks.
Mountain biking isn’t much of a thing in Saskatchewan probably because you can ride any kind of bike anywhere. Not many hills. I Grew up in Prince Albert where the forest starts, there are nice flow trails at Little Red river park for fat tires. The ground is Sandy.
Waskesiu is the only place I know of that rents bikes of all types but that is a long ways away from Regina.
I guess I’ll chime in here as a I just moved back to Halifax from Saskatoon last summer.
For MTB near Regina the closest is Wascana trails as previously noted. The next closest, and bigger/better would be Buffalo Pound Provincial Park.
If you’re headed up toward Saskatoon at all you can check out Blackstrap Provincial Park and River Ridge Trails too. Saskatoon also has an extensive trail network within the city.
You might be best advised to bring a bike with you as rentals aren’t common. In Regina you’ll want to check with Western Cycle or Dutch Cycle if they have anything. Sometimes they’ll have fat bikes for rent rather than MTB’s.
Wascana, Saskatoon, and the north end of Blackstrap are all very XC oriented trails. Buffalo Pound and River Ridge Trails have a mix of XC and down-country. The south end of Blackstrap is down-country oriented. All of them have some fun options throughout.
