thats a pretty sweet idea, do you have the hood cross braced underneath while your welding? can’t tell from your pics, I just picked up a little 97 f150 and it needs a new hood, you got my brain a tickin now lol!
I hear what your sayin, My only worry about not putting additional crossbracing in would be the chance of twisting, but the more I think of it the less that should be an issue as the amount of heat used would be minimal, so yeah, lol let me see the final product!
