The Weymouth Waterfront Development Committee will host the TOUR DE NEW FRANCE MOUNTAIN BIKE rally on Saturday, September 27. With a $25 registration fee if you pre-register by noon on September 5, you will get a free 2014 Tour de New France t-shirt. This bike rally is approximately 20kms (or 30kms for a longer route), on a logging road and logging trail. All bikers must wear helmets. Mountain bikes are required as there will be water holes and a little rough parts (nothing too bad). There will be a cash canteen at the New France settlement and a cash bbq at the end of the rally. With 5 check points along the way the biker with the best poker hand wins a prize so don’t worry about needing to be fast. We hope to have someone at the New France to give a little history lesson if you are interested.

I attended last year and plan on attending this year. Was a lot of fun last year, good fun and casual atmosphere and a wide variety of riders.
