Trails worth traveling to

Which trails that are a few hours away from Metro would you guys consider worth the time to drive to go ride?

Anything besides the usual candidates like Wentworth, keppoch, railyard, Brookvale, Sugarloaf, the gorge,

Fitzpatrick Mountain in Scotsburn is pretty good.

I rode that last year, big climb and I didn’t find the way down all that fun, haha. Not sure if I missed something or not but I remember it being pretty good years ago

I guess it depends on how far you wanna go out.

MVP trails in Fredricton, rockwood park in Saint John. White rock outside of moncton.

I really like grey mountain but it’s not for everyone.

I have a friend who lives in Moncton, so I’ve ridden a few places in southern NB. I honestly don’t think any of them alone are worth the trip, but connect a few of them and you can have a very good time.

Rotary park right in Dieppe is really small (like the size of reservoir park in Wolfville), but is surprisingly good. They have a nice network of trails, a little jump trail, a bmx/jump park, various xc trails. You can do the whole thing in about 45 minutes, but it punches higher than it has any right to.

White Rock trails in Hillsborough is also pretty solid. There’s a lot more trails there and I haven’t ridden them all, but it’s worth an explore.

I rode Whitetail in Fundy national park and that was good fun.

Sussex bluffs trails were ridden, but they’re probably better as a hike.

Poley is a reasonably good DH park. Usually not very busy, and a few good trails.

I haven’t ridden Minto, MVP or Rockwood, but I hear they’re solid.

Minto x 1000

I keep hearing how this is the best place ever. Gotta get over and see for myself sometime.

Yeah they have a few trails and unless you know them you are going to miss them. They are working on more towards the bottom so it isn’t just climb and descend.

Its really worth the drive, best network in the Maritimes IMO.

Brookvale for me. Having access to a cottage 15 minutes away makes me a little biased though.

That would be amazing. Pei rentals are bananas expensive

If you are going to Fredericton, definitely hit Woolastook. They have put in a lot of work in the last few years and there are loads of fun trails, including 2 blue and 1 black enduro lines from the top of a well-designed climb trail.
