Valley Riding

Do many people in HRM or the rest of Nova Scotia for that realize the quality singletrack that exists smack in the middle of the Annapolis Valley? About an hours drive West from the Halifax area. Look for the cows and apple trees.

Gorge/P2. More than enough singletrack for a 2+hour ride. Intermediate/Advanced riders will have the most fun. The trails are technical, full of roots, steep sections and rocks galore. Don’t worry though, there are lots of places to get your speed up and hammer down. This is arguably the best singletrack you will experience in Nova Scotia.

Woodville Hiking trails are also 15 minutes away, not to mention the newly opened trail in Wolfville that Trailflow has been working on. Mmmm fresh dirt. There is also a smaller trail system in the beautiful Gaspereau Valley.

It’s been sunny and warm for the last several days and the trails are running dry and fast with lots of grip.

A XC/Trail bike will be great on all trails, and if you have a DH bike too we are blessed with some awesome gravity riding too.

Love the valley. By far the best variety and amount of trails available. Also the AVMBA is a model association for advocacy and they get stuff done!

I’m currently working with Trailflow and the work that is being done in the Wolfville Reservoir as well as other projects only bolsters the very positive approach that part of NS is taking towards cycling and active living.
