Volunteer Work Day this Saturday July 29, 9:00am-12:00pm.
Last weekend’s rain washed out some deep ruts on a few sections of the trail. We’ll repair these and perhaps improve the drainage to reduce the chance of erosion in the future.
Fortunately the work sites for this weekend’s work are on the Pitcher Plant Loop - not far from the trailhead – about a 5-10 minute walk. Our first work site will be to the right as you walk into the trail, just past the second boardwalk.
We will have some tools, but extra wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, and tampers would be very helpful. Feel free to come late, meet us on trail and/or leave early. Any time that you can contribute is valuable.
