Anyone do Zwift in the winter? I started doing it last winter and don’t know anyone else that does it

I used to ride my rollers every morning, but since I started commuting year round, I haven’t touched indoor cycling and that’s just the way I like it.

I wish I lived close enough to my work to do that, i’d probably ditch Zwift too
How far away are you? My commute is currently 10kms each way. When I lived 30 kms from my office, I’d throw my bike on the back of my truck, drive to the head of the COLTA trail and ride the last 12kms into the downtown from there. Avoided all of the traffic, and got the workout in.

I live in Lantz, work In Halifax, like a 55k ride, and no good alternative ways to split it up as far as I’m aware
Oof, yeah that would be tough.
I do want to attempt the ride a day I’m not working though, just to see if it’s doable, even if it’s not practical

The ride to work was always a great time for me to do sambro (55km) or on a rare feisty day, Peggy’s Cove (100km) but I would never attempt them after work. Did a few times with mixed results. Your 55km commute is probably doable but I could see myself burning out within a few days.

You’re a special, awesome breed, Tossed. I regularly add 5-10 kms to my commute when it strikes me but have never considered adding that level of ride before work.

There are a few good online platforms.
Zwift, SYSTM, fastcat coaching, rouvy.
All useless without a proper trainer though IMO.
Ive been using a combo of fastcat and uploading their programming to Zwift. Its not cheap but I use it 4 months out of the year, and you can upload to a garmin and do any of the workouts outdoors (which from my experience provides some mixed results)

Kind of off topic here but I just recently picked up a kickr core. Cyclesmith installed a brand new cassette I bought on it but can’t figure the thing out. Giving me one hell of a headache. If anyone wants to come by my apartment and give me a hand with it I will pay lol. Located in bedford just on Gary Martin drive.
