The sprocket accent is a nice touch. Doesn’t look like it’s narrow-wide though.:grimacing:

Haha, yeah.

It bothers me that the ECMTB sprocket is not narrow wide.

An Eagle chain ring was closely inspected for it’s suitability for this project and it didn’t meet the criteria. It would have looked like my dog was trying to use the jigsaw. The teeth all looked mangled and weird in their shape.

Been picking away at this for a while, but finally finished converting a spare room in my basement.

Thanks @camurray for the bike cave sign from @landandwater Runwild Creations…. perfect finishing touch.

Gotta start somewhere.

Just finished putting some finishing touches on the bike cave that’s taking over my garage.

That’s a good one. So nice! I’ll post some of my unfinished 1938 basement cave shortly. Now that is a real cave!

You guys have the most sanitary bike caves ever. Kudos. Before I set up mine we used it as a chicken coop and rabbitry.

Current setup as shown… not all the bikes are in there atm. This room was a garage that was remoddled into a mudroom and storage. Camping gear. Tools and other stuff also stored here . Once my arm has been cleared to use again by the doc ill be modifying the setup to hang the bikes .

10 years in the making. It was a disaster when we got the house.

A recent oil furnace breakdown gave me the option of propane and more space.

 that stumpy

Finally took some time to tidy up my bike room this weekend. Dug out a nice little pile of tires for recycling to be dropped off at Long Alley, but somehow came home with two more tires anyway.

I still l need to figure out space for a work bench and some pegboard, and I need a better storage solution for small bits/pieces/parts, but having a couple hangers on the wall definitely helps keep things from encroaching out into the basement living room.

Picked up a solid work table to put the close-to-last piece of the bike shop puzzle in place. Need to secure the vise and the truing stand, then source some metal magnet bars instead of pegboard for the hand tools, and I’ll be set.

Don’t worry, this is day zero. Only getting more cluttered from here.
