Nothing but granite at McRun today. Should stay ice free with plus temps overnight and all day tomorrow.
Bowater is mainly bare and frozen, with some patches of thin snow and ice.
Nine Mile a nice studded tire ride today. Icy frozen footprints, a little bumpy but not too bad to Riverside. Beyond Riverside, thin packed snow over ice and better traction.
Railyard is in good shape - studs for sure.
Bowater is largely slippery heroish dirt. Some ice. Studs definitely optional.
Hiked the nora warren end of mac run today…
Joe cracker, nora and warren are golden. Frozen up and clean however the wood bridges on nora are starting to get some rot, one of the hemlock planks needs replacing as its a trip hazard. Several others will be in the same situation within a year
… east and west pine had a several large ice covered spots
.
I think that board on Nora was replaced yesterday afternoon.
Photo by Alice and Gilbert (pictured) who replaced the board.
Sweet. If i have some spare boards after my next deck project ill swap out the other ones
About an inch of snow down on Nine Mile with a few shoe tracks through it. Doable on my 2.8” studded tires. Would be good on fatbike.
Morrison Hall was frozen with icy patches today when we hiked it. The roads are soupy though.
Trails at river ridge commons where pretty good today other then a few soft spots. Also if you lost a pair of yellow safety glass there at the bottom on a sign

Spider is in good shape, no studs required. Could probably do ok on a regular mtb, but fatbike would be the weapon of choice.
Thanks for the heads up.
Spider is mint.
Railyard is great. Some slippery spots under the snow.
Studs recommended. Fat bike would be better.
Railyard is even better now with these cold temps recently.
Any thoughts on a snowshoe gang at spider tonight?
Spider was super soft this morning around 10. Hard riding haha. Hopefully gets some traffic this weekend
Spider was great sunday afternoon. With the rise in temps i have a feeling it will melt off thish week though
