Current Trail Conditions

Thanks streetgang

Irishmans and Smileys have been groomed up after the last snow. LOTS of lumpy ice under the snow. Conditions are mixed as a result and stuff are highly recommended.

The Gorge is similar. The double tack and select single tracks have also been groomed, again, lots of lumpy ice hiding just under the snow. It’s studs or snowshoes.

Spider was awsome today! Hit it while u can

The Railyard was good today, most of the trails are groomed. The snow is dry and squeaky but a warm day followed by a freeze will make it awesome.

Still sketchy without studs?

Yeah, there’s glare ice under the snow.

Whooper has a solid but icy base. Boot bombed but not terrible, todays snow should help to smoothen things out. Fatties and skinnies. Would recommend studs.

Smileys and Irishmans freshly groomed this mooring. Looks pretty good out there. I think most of the ice should be under enough snow to not be an issue but I’d still use some caution.

I’d let it firm up for a few hours, should be good tonight, tomorrow for sure.

Spider stills need quite a bit of traffic. As usual replicator and ribbon r getting packed and everything else still needs traffic. I was the first through the strip and cobra cai.
Gonna be mint when it gets more traffic tho. Should be awsome this

weekend

Derek and I snowshoed Whooper last night and I did again myself this morning. Lots of snow. Like everywhere traffic will be the solution. @Gareth was heading in on his fatty. Maybe he can provide some riding conditions.

Spider be true HRM goodness.

Kudos to @Goose for breaking open The Horseshoe. We followed it up and it’s smooth rollin now for da fatties.

Much of the rest will support a skinnier tire although you’ll do better w a 2.5 or bigger.

I snow shoed norawarren tonight. The main stretched has seen mostly foot traffic…there have been shoeing also. No bike traffic , quite loose still

Snowshoed Nine Mile as far as the Ravine Bench. Trail snow covered- no ice. Snow lightly packed. Saw a fatbiker go by who said the ride was going well. Not sure how nonfat tires would do. Possibly ok as far as we went.

Anyone been through spiderlake lately? Super icy?

wondering about getting after it before the weather changes tomorrow. Anyone have any intel today on Spider? Railyard? Irishmans?

Granite at McIntosh is 100% bare. Standing water in the usual places. Avoid the areas built with dirt, still soupy.
