Topsail Lake CNS MTB Trail network initiative

Are you interested in an xc level trail network in Dartmouth NS? Are you interested in being a trail builder?
Doing trail work? Maintaining trails and being a stewart of the land?

Through a one of a kind partnership, CNS has secured a parcel of land specifically for MTB only trails dedicated to CNS members.

In order to get this network moving, and riding/racing started, we NEED to develop a core network of builders.

Any interest in this project please email

or via insta DM @CN8

Thanks for pinning this @ecmtb

Got a number of responses and slowly growing the team.

Lots of progress happening with the hope of a 5-7km fat bike loop ready to rock.

so when can we ride here?

Details to follow, but you need to be a CNS General member at this point in time, with the possibility of day passes (in the works)

Today there is significant drainage work going on, apologies. Big push now is to have a really fun/challenging fat bike loop ready.

“The Farm at Top Sail Lake”
Cycling Nova Scotia has been working hard with some amazing trail builders to create a MTB trail system in Dartmouth, NS which will offer some fun and thrilling km’s for members to enjoy. The Farm was developed to offer Mountain Bike Trail to the Dartmouth community and Nova Scotians at large. With over 6km of developed trail and much more in the planning phase, our trail builders and volunteers are excited to open up The Farm February 1st to winter biking and fat biking. All you need is a Cycling Nova Scotia Membership or purchase a Day Pass ($10) (QR code available at the trail head or head over to our website: www.cyclingns.ca).
The Grand Opening of The Farm will be Saturday, May 4th, 2024 which will include a volunteer day and group ride. Spread the word because the more people involved and enjoying the trail, the more trail we can support and create. If you are interested in learning more, volunteering or sponsoring the trail, please reach out to mtodd@sportnovascotia.ca
