I just finished riding flat lake loop and the trails are very very icy… as to be expected. I rode it with no studs and 2.2" tires.
Studs would be much better/faster

I heard Whopper is mostly bare but also snow and ice. Studs were recommended for safety.
I think anything that had packed snow is now solid ice. Had a quick spin in Hemlock Ravine tonight and it’s 30% ice, 70% bare.
Would like to know what Irishman’s is like, that general area has a 5-10cm layer of very hard snow

Just rode Norawarren & West Pine. Very light snow cover which will likely melt this afternoon and a few tiny patches of ice. Studs not required.

Spider/Skull/Major are a mixed bag. 50% bare, 25% icy, 25% snowy.

Bowater is really good right now, 70% clear, the rest is crunchy snow, very little ice.

I just rode a couple laps of West Pine and it’s snow covered but in amazing shape for riding. I rode without studs and had no issues, just loads of fun

As of yesterday Irishman’s was excellent. Good firm snow, plenty of grip. Some trees down but nothing that will get you in trouble if your paying attention. We pulled a few off trail.
In genreal, what I’ve been riding in The Valley has been awesome lately, a few crusty spots but mostly it’s firm enough to float on top.
I’ll see how last nights snow changes things later today.

Shredded the gorge on studless 2.80’s with no issue and could still fully send it over every jump except the wooden features. Prime conditions right now. A little slidey in the turns but who doesn’t like a little shot of adrenaline.

West Pine had a little bike traffic on it this morning and was getting packed down nicely in a few spots. Needs a few more passes to be fun on standard tires. Fat bike more fun until it gets packed down some more.

Much snow in the Valley right now. Will be hard going until some zones get packed in.
MacFight not yet packed, West pine packed but faired enough for a good short ride.
