Current Trail Conditions

Whopper is dry, but not loose. The black flies are bad. There’s a blowdown on Scotch with roots sticking up. A broke off what I could, but I didn’t have a saw with me.

I feel like overall whopper is the most rugged its ever been, or maybe I am just soft.

It’s more worn and ragged than I’ve seen it in the past.

It gets regular Moto use, this is why, a lot of soft spots just keep getting more and more torn up and deep.

Bowater is dry. There’s a tree down on Shoreline near E-Z Money.

There was a brush fire in Bowater yesterday, near the Pipeline Rd and Hiking Trail Rd intersection.

Yes, in the sawdust pile. Second illegal fire out here in a week. The fools from last Friday were charged with trespassing, and given $25,000 fines for the fire.

Hopefully this helps speed the bridge replacement.

I hope. The plan was to have it started this spring, but I heard they ran into some problems during the engineering assessment.

lol I had been wondering what the deal was with that

A couple of trees down on Gord’s Gold, I’ll try to remember my trail saw next time.

I would also be cautious of anything wooden past the initial rock faces.

In case anyone is curious the 3 Brooks entrance to Jimmy’s is impassable due to flooding

Jeez. It was always bad, but that’s useless.

Heads up Bowater riders. Somebody has been dragging dead trees and logs across the trail. Mainly in the corners and at the bottom of chutes. There were several small spruce trunks jammed in perpendicular to the trail with the points at shin level, pretty easy to get speared with. I crashed pretty hard on one log left across the bottom of a chute.
