Current Trail Conditions

The ladder bridge, leading to the big drop on Flat Lake Loop, is really rotting out and has a missing rung at the top. Riders hit this with a fair amount of speed. Be aware that it could fall under a rider’s weight. The left side log is barely holding on at the top.

Has anyone been riding Sandy Lake Park or Range trails this season? If so, any recommendations on which trails to ride.

Here is a track I rode the other week. There are some really fun sections in there. The one labelled Boreal Highland Path in trailforks keeps me going back for more. It has got a nice downhill section.

The trail was quite dry until we got all that rain. Yesterday I went for a hike and the ground was a bit soft in some areas.

Bowater is dry and loose. Not as dry as most summers, but still dry.

Wooly is riding great, and multiple new XC trails plus this new jump line will be opening soon!

Anybody know if Windsor or Kentville got much rain last night? Thinking of riding down that way this afternoon if the trails are ok.

Rain in the Wolfvlle area was pretty light.

There’s a plank missing on the Milk and Cookies skinny! Put some logs at either end to hopefully help others avoid any injuries for now.

Can confirm safety logs must have been moved by someone, because they were nowhere in sight this am.

Mcintosh is perfect right now

The bridge on Flat Lake just before the big rock face roll is toast. One stringer broke, and the other one is barely holding on. I tried to help prop it up with what I could find around, but it broke off just before the rock, so it’s just floating there.

Just go faster. Makes the rock face more interesting too. :joy:

I am sure everyone who rides there will promptly come together to fix this.

Bowater is great right now. The trail elves fixed some mud holes and trimmed some branches over the summer and fall, and it’s currently prime hero dirt conditions.

Thank you trail elf!

Found a tree down on Orange Jelly this am, but managed to break it up and drag it off the trail. Trails were snowy but rolling well, at least until the snow turned to rain.

Bowater is prime hero dirt. Someone was in recently scoring roots so plenty of grip as well
