Shubie is plowed with some ice here and there. The side trails are packed but narrow.
Gore is running quite well on a fatty with low pressures, as long as you manage to stay on the narrow track.
Gore today. Dec 23.
Half dozen fat bike tracks so far. Some of the deeper snow is a bit soft and squishy but stuff in the woods is mostly good and crunchy. One for deep freeze should do it. Original six is money.
Went through shubie yesterday.
Stayed on the main trails… bobby dazzler is accessible and nine locks but they dont have any packing. Secret singletrack isnt accessible due to snow banks from tbe plows
@gokatgo I was there this morning (Boxing Day). Both trails along side the canal are spectacular. I headed out Lake Charles Extension but my buddy was on a skinny and had to turn around. I don’t know the trail Bobby Dazzler by name, although I think the name is spectacular, but I pretty much rode everything except for the trails up by the MIcMac Mall End (perhaps that is what you call Secret Singletrack) as my buddy would not have a chance on his skinny
Lots to ride besides crusher dust. Perfect for fatties and 90% is good for skinnies.
Probably hit up the Farm tomorrow
Does anyone know anything about Spider Lake?
Yes bobby dazzler and secret are at the mic mac end. Bobby dazzler is the first one whe entering from that end. Secret is a small opening off the main gravel on the left then comes out when the gravel is right out by the 118.
Nine locks is a rock garden and can be hard to navigate without snow if its not leaf blown.
Havent been to spider since about 2 weeks before replicator was dozed by ns power back in march. I think its dying off as a fatbike trail system. More and more of the land is being taken away
Tree down on West Pine near Porcupine Bridge, but also keep your eyes peeled for a few smaller trees that were hanging across the trail here and there. A few passes of fat tires and the trails would be mint.
@Ghost and I were in there today. Most trails except Ribbon were pretty meh, but we rode them repeatedly and beat a number of trails down, and there’s a fun little network right now.
Replicator, Ribbon, Lego, and Humps are all in good shape and will hopefully set up over night. The main road in has deep ATV tracks, but it’s all doable, with occasional muddy patches.
Replicator is still there??? Thought it wae clear cut in march
As it turns out, you can ride through clear cuts. The line is still there.
Boxing day. Bird Sanctuary is mostly groomed and in excellent shape. Lotta fat bikers out enjoying it today. Go get you some.
Any word about Railyard conditions? I’m planning to head up early Saturday.
A bunch of the railyard trails were groomed early in the week. Today it was starting to get packed in on the main routes, should only get better with more fat bike traffic.
Beauty! Thanks.
Irishmans is the best I’ve seen it. A bit narrow in a few places but all trails hard packed and good for skinnies.
Nine Mile has a narrow packed line. A little ice here and there.
As of Friday night, railyard is groomed and mint
Brunello’s website says that some trails are groomed for skiing, does anyone know if mountain biking is allowed on those trails?
No MTB! Only skiing.
Lame!
