The blowdowns on Little Bromont have been cleared. Bowater is tacky loam right now.
Has anyone been to river ridge common lately? Haven’t been there since 2022. Curious how they are now? Worth the drive from Halifax?
Bowater is dry and firm right now. Please watch out for horse poop. This one likes to do it’s business on the steep parts lol.
Whopper is in great shape…. all of lake loop and death march have been trimmed.
Great news. Thanks to the trail elves on that one.
Crooked Finger at Bowater is in pretty horrible shape from motos. Everything else is pretty nice
Rode Nine Mile this evening on studded tires. Rode everything but Hemlock Cathedral. Trails were frozen solid with maybe a centimeter of snow on top, except the usual few places where thin streams of water flow across. Studded tires recommended (icy sections hidden by snow); fat tires not needed.
Motos were not kind to bowater today. I messaged one of them and asked them to lay off the throttle in the future
Did a lap of almost all everything this side of Pizza Corner and cleared up any deadfall from last night. Found quite a few small trees across the trail, plus this one that needed the silky saw and a bit more elbow grease to clear.
Thank you!
Silky saws are great.
Absolutely. Picked this one up from an old MEC yard sale for like $10. Ordered a new blade and it was good as new, and tucks right into the bottom of the hip pack.
Absolutely. Got the gomboy. Pocket boy and the fine cut
Jacks/Sandy lake is really good, hero dirt, and 90% leaf blown.
Trees are all cleared at 9 Mile!
Bowater is hero dirt. i cleared the blowdowns on Morrison Hall, and I could hear another saw down by the lake.
That was me getting my last minute Christmas Tree!
MRWA has many patches of ice, from the water weeping out from under the granite. It’s definitely sketchy but kind of fun to navigate.
A couple icey patches on nora warren. Same with west pine.. yimby has quite a few. Boulderdash and rama werent bad
