Skyline was bad last year. It poured about 2 hours before race time and then got unseasonably warm for October.
My full justification for not riding this enduro is skyline. It’s beat out and miserable. I’d rather have a tooth pulled. If a trail isn’t fun in the dry I’m certainly not riding it wet.
For the little bit of skyline that’s in this years it’s not horrible
My opinion the best trails it could been are
-Skyline to the jump out the trees
-Free ride to the former gravel jumps (although I can only imagine how many people would be getting shot into the woods at the shoot😂 would be entertaining though)
-switch craft
-chicken cougar
-roller or old school
That would be pretty sweet…
I believe this year only the very beginning of Skyline is in the race.
Shit, I didnt know so I didnt register!
Not to late, looks like there is still 5 spots left
Will the Saturday shuttle be running like normal on the 18th?
I dont see why not.
Is that drop that was in the first stage right at the beginning still in it this year because wrecked right there last year and that was the end of my day
I think there’s a “tapas and Trails” foodie/drink experience happening on the 18th. I believe it’s mainly confined to the game changer accessibility trail, so not sure if it will effect any biking or not, other than blasting out of the paper route or east of awesome trails on to gamechanger, would likely not be a great idea. Mayhaps keep an eye out for people wandering onto other trails who might not be hikers or mountain bikers…

Awesome! We were planning a Saturday trip but we weren’t sure whether the shuttle was affected by Sundays race.
Addendum: I’ve reached out to those in the know. Apparently will be shuttle as usual on the 18th, Foot traffic will be detoured by first section of little peak trail.
Cheers! Thanks for the info.
I hope the trails are taped off very well this year because i havent got a sweet clue where im going
I’ve never even seen Keppoch. Hahahaha, better be taped well!
You’re in for a treat! Keppoch is great. Or at least it is when you’re getting shuttled to the top and bombing down all day…
The way I see it, improving my climbing is only going to benefit my riding, so I’m looking forward to the challenge! Hard to love enduro, while hating climbing. That’s loving downhill, not enduro haha.
I don’t mind climbing but going from the chalet to the top of Keppoch is a bit of a grind in my opinion. I couldn’t do it all day but I can shuttle all day and get way more runs in. And yes, sometimes that’s on the DH bike, other times on the trail bike.
Some folks were pushing their bikes for some of it and still laughing and smiling.
