Winter Trail Conditions

shubie’s main trails are plowed so you can get a ride in there. was good on sunday night but you need studs.

Wrandees was fantastic this morning but to warm to ride now. Perhaps it’ll survive the warm weather again.

Sorry for the late update. Wrandees was super icy this morning but a solid ride with only a few wet sections. More snow tomorrow so if we snowshoe it soon afterwards, it should be great again for a while.

Looking forward to a Wrandees ride. Haven’t made it out yet this winter…

Road in Wolfville today. ICY. That is all.

We snowshoed Wrandees again today and it was packing down quite well with the warmer temps. It might be a good ride tomorrow BEFORE the temperature gets too close to zero. Enjoy!

Wrandees was sweetness today! It might be good in the early morning hours if you’re up before the temps climb.

Is anything good as of Feb 6th? Or is this a snowshoe type of situation?

Even Shubie was not plowed at 7am this morning

Snowshoe it will be.

Double snowshoed Wrandees today but it is not ready for riding. We’ll go at it again tomorrow when the temps are higher. It should set up well overnight and be ready to ride on Saturday.

Ice race on Saturday as well, but sunday would be a great evening to ride.

Wrandees sucks! Do not ride it. It needs another cold night to firm up and more snowshoeing if anyone can get in there.

Wrandees was great on Sunday evening.

Thanks to those who did the snowshoeing! NO STUDS REQUIRED!

Wrandees was actually pretty good today. It’s pretty narrow and you pay with a slide or a crash if you get off the sweet line. Red Trails are pretty well packed but the Lake Loop is still soft so I recommend you ride it clockwise.

shubie park, all the main trails have been plowed and are fast as hell. all the secondary trails have enough foot traffic to ride and it looks like you could head out lake charles for a it but not sure just how far. ride it at night and you will have the whole place to yourselves. very fast and fun. 90 % plus very hard packed snow. you should be able to ride with out studs.

Rode Wrandees this morning and it was actually pretty good. Studs were needed as there was a lot of ice. There were exposed rocks and roots and even ground in some spots. By noonish the snow in the sun was getting soft. Still we got out for a ride. We’ll see what the rest of the weekend brings.

I’m thinking this bit of snow might make for some good trails if we can get it packed down before the freeze.

Anyone hit wrandees yet? I might hit it with the shoes this afternoon some.

Wrandees is surprisingly good. Other than the footprints on Red Trails making it rough, it very hard everywhere and easy to ride. I had studs on and assume they were helping a lot. Don’t know what it would be like without studs. I even rode across to the Bay Rd. and up Pipeline and across the river for a long way. It was smooth and fast and fun to explore.

So, what’ the word for let’s say shubie park?
